Quilting is Done on my English Paper Piecing La Passacaglia Quilt

Quilting is finally complete on my La Passacaglia Quilt and I'm super excited to share it with everyone!

I can't tell you how happy I am to have a finished top for this quilt! Every little piece has been thought about and at times agonized over. I put my heart and soul into this gem and the quilting took so long!. Now that it's done (almost) I can tell you it's true love :) As many of you know I am making another one for my daughter. Yes I'm crazy - I'm about halfway done but thats another story for another time.

Here is a Top View of the Quilt Top

Sewn in Large Rosette Center[/caption] I probably would change a few things but for the most part I’m pretty happy. Isn’t that always the way. I love the colors. If I can give you a word of advice, work in a color platte that you absolutely love. Quilting a La Passacaglia takes so long to complete you’ll be with it awhile :) I was thinking that since I already know how this all plays out it should go much faster the second time. You know what they say, “I wish I knew then, what I know now!”

Best decision I have made in awhile! She came highly recommended and boy did she deliver a fully finished English Paper Piecing La Passacaglia Quilt! Then I basically told her to, "do your thing". Don't get me wrong, we did have a long conversation about the possibilities but it was a little scary to say the least. This was the first time I had dealt with Sue so I was naturally a little apprehensive. Although I had a gut feeling she understood me and that she new what she was doing so I went with it.     [caption id="attachment_7458" align="aligncenter" width="600"]Sue Fox Pointing to my Final La Passacaglia Quilt Sue Fox and My La Passacaglia Quilt[/caption] When I first talked with her I had this big elaborate plan for the backing. But I decided to leave it plain white to showcase her work and I'm so happy I did that you can really see all her hard work. Here is Sue having fun! I had been pretty good about leaving her alone and not calling to see if it was ready every 5 minutes. It brought tears of joy and happiness. Never in a million years did I think it was going to be as wonderful as it was. She totally exceeded my expectations!!!!!!
